This Pet Care Contract (“Contract”) is by and between the Pet Owner (“Customer”) and Doodles and Company LLC (“Doodles and Company”).

Doodles and Company will provide the pet care services as described in the Customer-approved Estimate (“Estimate”) which may include, but is not limited to dog walking, in-home dog sitting, and dog feeding and caring. The Customer is responsible for satisfying the balance due listed in the Estimate after the completion of the pet care services.

The Estimate has been supplied electronically to the Customer and must be approved electronically by the Customer.

Doodles and Company and the Customer agree to the terms listed below:

Injury to Customer’s pets by another animal

Doodles and Company will not be responsible for any injuries or damages to the Customer’s pets, any other pets, other animals, people, or property sustained as a result of Customer’s pets’ interactions with other pets or animals while in Doodles and Company care. Doodles and Company will take all reasonable actions to ensure that Customer’s pets are not in these situations.

Injury or escape of Customer’s pets

Customer is aware that the highest level of care shall be given to any and all pets under care of Doodles and Company. Customer is aware that pets are instinctual in nature and not always controllable by Doodles and Company even when the highest level of care is provided. Should the Customer’s pets run away or be injured, the Customer agrees that Doodles and Company will not be responsible for any liability including expenses to recover the pet, replace the pet with a new pet, treat any Customer’s pets injuries, treat other pets injuries, and treat injuries to other people. The above waiver of liability in favor of Doodles and Company shall not apply or be effective if Doodles and Company is found to have conducted the pet care services in a grossly negligent or reckless manner or if there is intentional misconduct.

Injury to Customer’s pets, other animals, the Doodles and Company staff, or other persons by Customer’s pet(s)

Customer will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Customer’s pets, other pets or animals, the Doodles and Company staff, or other persons by Customer’s pets. Customer agrees to pay the full cost of any and all medical expenses and damages should they arise as a result of the Customer’s pet's interactions regardless of fault. Customer agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Doodles and Company in the event of a claim by any person or animal injured by the Customer’s pets.

Unsafe Pets

This contract permits Doodles and Company, in its’ sole discretion, to halt any pet care service at any time if Doodles and Company’s staff determine that Customer’s pets pose a danger to the safety and health of itself, other pets or animals, other people, or Doodles and Company staff. No discounts will be applied shall this determination be made by Doodles and Company and the full Estimate balance shall be payable by the Customer per the terms of the Estimate.

Off-leash Pet Policy

Some of our Customers request off-leash activity and play for their dogs. Doodles and Company does not offer off-leash services due to the increased risks to the Customer’s pets, other pets and animals, and Doodles and Company staff.

Payment Policy / Cancellation Policy

All payment for pet care services are due seven days after completion of the pet care services. We accept credit cards, bank ACHs, and Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App.

By signing this contract, Customer agrees to the Doodles and Company cancellation policy which is as follows:

The Doodles and Company cancellation policy is as follows

  • 8 or more days notice for cancellation prior to scheduled start of pet care service, no cancellation fees will apply.

  • 4-7 days notice for cancellation prior to scheduled start of pet care service, a 25% cancellation fee will apply (the 25% cancellation fee is 25% of the Estimate Total Balance due.

  • 3 or fewer days notice for cancellation prior to scheduled start of pet care service, a 50% cancellation fee will apply (the 50% cancellation fee is 50% of the Estimate Total Balance due.

Early Return to Home or Late Departure from Home

Customers returning home early or departing later than the scheduled pet care services will be required to pay the full Estimate Total Balance, regardless of whether the Customer returned home early or departed later than the scheduled pet care services. No discount will be applied for early returns to home or late departures from home by the Customer after an Estimate has been approved by the Customer.

Customer Home Care Needs

Doodles and Company is not responsible for any damage to plants that may be in the Customer’s home during an in-home pet sitting service. Doodles and Company will work hard to follow written instructions as precisely as possible, but cannot be responsible if the results are not favorable to the Customer. Please place all indoor plants together on a waterproof surface in plain sight as Doodles and Company will not responsible for water-damaged areas or any plants that are missed for watering.

Doodles and Company is not responsible for damage to the home beyond the control of Doodles and Company. This includes, but is not limited to: electrical problems, leaks, and acts of nature. All repairs to the home and related fees will be paid by Customer or fully reimbursed to Doodles and Company within seven days of Customer’s return date if Doodles and Company incurs any expenses to maintain the home while the Customer is away.

Doodles and Company is not responsible for any damage to the property or home of the Customer unless such damage is caused by the negligent act of Doodles and Company.

Doodles and Company is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur. Customer agrees to secure home prior to leaving the premises. Doodles and Company will attempt to re-secure the home according to Customer instructions at the end of each visit.

Customer is responsible for pet-proofing the house and the yard and have security fences, gates, and latches in place. Doodles and Company will not be responsible for the safety of the pet(s) and will not be liable for the death, injury, disappearance or legal consequences of any pet(s) while in the home, the yard, or on walks.

Pet Illness/Veterinary Care/Restocking supplies

Customer is aware and agrees to the medical costs of any fees should they arise from pet(s) being ill or otherwise needing veterinary care. Customer agrees that Doodles and Company can determine, in its sole discretion, whether veterinary services are required and is authorized to take the pet(s) to a veterinary clinic or animal hospital. Customer will be notified immediately in the case of an animal emergency or sickness.

If Doodles and Company needs to restock supplies that the Customer agrees to provide but that are not provided, or not provided in sufficient quantities, at the time of the pet care services (such as pet food or medication), Customer agrees to reimburse Doodles and Company for any expenses incurred and paid a $50 surcharge for acquiring these missing supplies.

Terms

The terms of this contract apply to all pets owned by the Customer, including any and all new pets that the Customer obtains on or after the date that this contract was signed, at any and all locations the Customer designates for service.

By Doodles and Company electronically sending this Contract to the Customer via the Estimate, and the Customer electronically signing this Contract, Doodles and Company and the Customer agree to this Contract in its entirety and fully understand and accept its terms and conditions.
